Author Guidelines

The author guidelines can be downloaded here.

Articles must be submitted according to the following format:

1. Manuscripts must be written in English and submitted online through the journal website at IJP Journal Submission Portal. Authors must login first to submit a manuscript and register if they do not yet have an account.

2. Manuscripts should consist of approximately 12–25 pages, excluding appendices, and the file must be in Microsoft Word format (.doc / .docx). Paper size must be A4 (21 cm x 29.7 cm), using margins of 2.5 cm for the inside margin and 2 cm for the top, bottom, and outside margins.

3. Title, Abstract, and Keywords must be written in English.

a. The title must contain fewer than 15 words, use title case, centered alignment, bold font, Times New Roman size 16, and single spacing.

b. The abstract must be written in English, contain no figures or tables, be justified, use Times New Roman font, single spacing, and not exceed 250 words.

c. Keywords must consist of three to five words/phrases separated by commas, justified alignment, using Times New Roman size 10 and single spacing.

4. Manuscript Body

a. The main text must be written in two columns with 1 cm spacing between columns, justified alignment, Times New Roman size 12, first-line indentation of 5 mm, and single spacing.

b. It must consist of: Introduction, Theoretical Framework, Results and Discussion, Conclusion, and References.

5. Headings must be structured into four levels. A fifth level is not accepted.

a. Heading 1: Title case, uppercase letters, left aligned, bold, size 14 Times New Roman, numbered with Roman numerals followed by a period.

b. Heading 2: Title case, left aligned, bold, size 12 Times New Roman, capital-letter numbering followed by a period.

c. Heading 3: Title case, left aligned, italic, size 12 Times New Roman, numbered with numerals followed by a closing bracket.

d. Heading 4 is discouraged but still accepted with the following format: sentence case, 5 mm indentation, hanging indent 5 mm, italic, size 11 Times New Roman, numbered with lowercase letters followed by a closing bracket.

e. Heading 5 is not accepted in the manuscript.

6. Figures and Tables must be in black and white. If created in color, they will be printed in black and white. Figures and tables must be clearly legible and proportionate to their content. Captions must be numbered, using Times New Roman font and single spacing.

7. Mathematical Equations must be written clearly, numbered, and accompanied by the necessary information.

8. Citations and References must follow the IEEE Style.

a. Citation numbering must appear as [1], [2], [3], … according to the order of appearance.

b. Wikipedia, personal blogs, or non-scientific websites are not allowed as references.

c. At least 80% of the references must come from reputable national or international journals.

 

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  2. The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  3. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  4. The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  6. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.
