PENINGKATAN MOTIVASI BELAJAR BERBASIS TERAPI SEFT (SPIRITUAL EMOTIONAL FREEDOM TECHNIQUE)

Abstract


It is important to maintain the stability of teenagers' psychological factors to remain motivated to learn. A method is needed to maintain the students' own learning motivation. One method that can be used is the Self Emotional Freedom Technique (SEFT) method. This method is very effective because it connects the psychological factors of teenagers with the emotional development period they are experiencing. This quasi experimental research uses a control group and an experimental group. This research involved 50 male students from class X of Kudus Regency Private High School. A total of 46 people, after being calculated using the sample formula, were divided into two groups: the intervention group, consisting of 23 people, and the control group, consisting of 23 people. Based on the evaluation results, it was found that there was a difference in students' learning motivation scores before and after being given SEFT therapy in the intervention group (Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test, p = 0.000 and there was a difference in students' learning motivation scores between the intervention group and the control group after being given treatment (Mann Whitney Test p value = 0.023). The difference between the intervention group and the control group regarding their learning motivation can be explained that SEFT therapy is not only a relaxation therapy but also a spiritual therapy that is able to unlock intrinsic motivation in students which may have been forgotten.
